Then he began hearing about the
Sabaki Challenge and
Kancho Joko Ninomiya’s
Enshin Karate and was very
impressed by both the practicality of the system and the
dedication and spirit of its creator.
After a brief correspondence, Budd packed his bags and
traveled to Denver to do a five-month live-in apprenticeship
under Kancho Ninomiya.
At the end of this training period, he fought in the 1999
Sabaki Challenge and received the Outstanding Sabaki Spirit and
Technique Award.
Sensei
Andrew Budd then returned to his hometown of Austin, Texas where
he began teaching Enshin Karate
and is now the Texas Branch Chief of Enshin Karate
International. He teaches classes for children and adults at Locations
in Austin and Pflugerville.
Sensei
Andrew Budd also teaches private lessons at his home dojo, which
is fully equipped with mats, mirrors and a full body length
heavy bag. |
